Barmore Full Practice for Patriots Week 1

Christian Barmore was a full participant in Monday's Patriots practice after sitting out Sunday with a knee issue, per Pats Pulpit's second Week 1 injury report. New England then flew west for Wednesday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks on NBC, the Super Bowl LX rematch that opens the season.

That is the cleanest DT update Foxborough has posted this week. Barmore managed the knee through Labor Day work outside Gillette Stadium and still made the trip. For a veteran who started a career-high 16 games in 2025, logged 29 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, and two sacks, then started all four playoff games, Monday full meant the club is treating him as available for the rematch rather than parking him behind another rest day.

What Monday's report actually said

Sunday's first report had Barmore as a non-participant. Monday flipped him to full. Pats Pulpit framed it as continued management of the knee, not a fresh scare. The Patriots also logged consecutive practices with no limited players on their side before departure. That matters when the opener is midweek and the defensive line still has to set the edge against a Seahawks offense that already has its own availability noise.

Other Patriots Week 1 flags

The same report ruled C Ben Brown out after a knee DNP and confirmed he did not travel. RB TreVeyon Henderson also DNP'd with an ankle and remains a watch item, which we already covered in Henderson's Week 1 outlook. Greg Van Roten, with 105 career starts, slots as the top interior backup with Brown staying home.

Wednesday night is still the only clock that matters. Barmore's Monday full practice is the DT green light New England wanted before it left Massachusetts. Final game statuses land on the eve of kickoff, but the second injury report already moved the biggest interior name from Sunday DNP to full participant and onto the Seattle trip.
