SMACKTOK DEPOSITS

Updated: April 1, 2025

At SmackTok Holdings, LLC (“SmackTok”), we make funding your account for our skill-based fantasy sports contests simple and secure. Deposits are processed through our trusted partner, Paydala, ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, as well as state regulations. This page explains how to deposit funds, why a deposit might be rejected, and other key details to help you get started.

How Do I Deposit Funds into My SmackTok Account?

You can add funds to your account using the following methods, processed securely by Paydala:

  • ACH (Instant Bank Transfer): Link a bank account for direct deposits.

  • Credit Cards: Visa or Mastercard (not including prepaid gift cards; not available in South Carolina).

For PayPal deposits, please contact our Support team at support@smacktok.com or through the in-App customer support chat.

To deposit funds:

  • In the App: Navigate to the menu in the top left corner and select “Deposit Funds.”

Follow the prompts to select your payment method, enter details, and confirm the amount. You’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via email for verification. We’ll notify you by email to confirm whether the deposit was successful or if further action is needed. Deposits typically process instantly, but may take up to 1–2 business days for ACH, subject to Paydala’s verification.

For step-by-step instructions, visit our Help Center at https://www.smacktok.com/help/deposits.

Why Was My Deposit Rejected?

If your deposit is not accepted, you’ll receive a notification explaining the reason. Common reasons for a rejected deposit include:

  • Incorrect Payment Information: Ensure all card or bank account details are accurate. Double-check before submitting, as errors will cause rejection.

  • Ineligible Jurisdiction: Deposits are only accepted from eligible states: California, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Paydala’s geolocation technology verifies your location.

  • Unaccepted Payment Method: Methods like American Express, Discover, prepaid gift cards, or unsupported bank accounts (e.g., Chime) are not accepted. Use ACH or Visa/Mastercard, or contact Support for PayPal.

  • Deposit Frequency Limit: You may deposit up to three times within a 24-hour period. Wait 24 hours from your last deposit attempt before trying again.

  • Name Mismatch: The name on your payment method must match your SmackTok account name. Mismatches may trigger a security review, and deposits will be rejected.

  • Payment Method Linked to Another Account: Payment methods already associated with another SmackTok account cannot be used. Rejected funds will be returned to your bank or card, typically within 1–3 business days, depending on your financial institution.

  • Deposit Amount Limits: The minimum deposit is $10 (USD); amounts below this will fail. To promote responsible play, SmackTok sets deposit limits. You can view or lower your limits in the App’s Responsible Gaming settings, but increases require Support approval. Exceeding your limit will result in an error message.

  • KYC/AML Verification: Paydala may require additional documentation for compliance. If verification fails, you’ll be prompted to provide the necessary information.

If your deposit fails, review the notification, correct any issues, and try again. Contact Support for further assistance.

Why Did Money Leave My Bank Account If My Deposit Failed?

In some cases, a rejected deposit may temporarily appear as a deduction from your bank account or credit card. These funds are held by your financial institution and will be returned once the transaction goes unclaimed, typically within 1–3 business days, though timelines vary by bank. Contact your bank or Support if funds are not returned promptly.

Why Can’t I Find My Bank for ACH Deposits?

If your bank does not appear when attempting an Instant Bank Transfer (ACH), it may not be supported by Paydala’s payment system. Try depositing with a credit card or contact Support to explore PayPal options or alternative banks.

How Many Payment Methods Can I Associate with My SmackTok Account?

You may link up to:

  • Two (2) credit cards (Visa or Mastercard).

  • One (1) bank account for ACH transfers.

PayPal deposits require Support assistance and are not counted toward these limits.

How Do I Remove or Replace Payment Methods?

You can remove a payment method after 60 days from your first deposit using that method, provided it’s not linked to pending transactions. To remove:

  • Log into your account and tap the “Deposit” button in the top right corner (App or Site).

  • On the payment methods page, locate the method and click the trash can icon to remove it. If the icon is missing, the 60-day period has not yet elapsed.

You may request to remove a payment method once per calendar month, up to four times in any 12-month period. For security, PayPal accounts (if approved by Support) cannot be removed. To replace a method, add a new one after removing an existing one, subject to the limits above.

Can I Get a Refund for an Accidental Deposit?

All deposits are final and non-refundable once submitted, as they are immediately available for contest entries. Please carefully confirm the deposit amount before finalizing to avoid transferring more funds than intended. If you believe an error occurred, contact Support immediately, but refunds are not guaranteed except for canceled contests (e.g., due to glitched lines).
