Caleb Unlikely for Eagles on MNF

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is unlikely to play Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles after Ian Rapoport said Tuesday he is not expected to practice this week while working through a right hamstring strain. That upgrades Monday's week-to-week framing from coach Ben Johnson into a clearer Week 3 availability lean. Rapoport added on SportsCenter that Tyson Bagent is in the concussion protocol, which could push Case Keenum into the starter conversation for MNF.
Williams hurt the hamstring scrambling in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 9-3 loss to Minnesota and left the game. Johnson told reporters Monday he did not expect Williams to practice this week, called the early medical report somewhat encouraging, and refused a hard timeline beyond week-to-week. Rapoport's Tuesday read matches that practice outlook and goes one step further on Monday night: unlikely to play.
The Bagent wrinkle matters for fans penciling a clean backup plan. Bagent finished Sunday after Williams exited, then landed in the protocol after a late hit, per Rapoport's sourcing. Keenum has plenty of NFL starts if both younger arms are down. Soft fantasy note only: treat Williams as out-leaning for the Eagles until Wednesday or Thursday practice stamps change the board, and do not invent a Keenum floor from one insider line alone.
Chicago hosts Philadelphia on Monday Night Football. A short week of practice without Williams already pointed the wrong way. Rapoport simply said the quiet part out loud for Week 3 planners.
Watch the first official injury report of the week. If Williams stays off the field through Friday, the unlikely label becomes the plan, not the rumor.
Availability board
Hamstring. No practice expected this week. Unlikely for Eagles MNF per Rapoport.
Bagent in concussion protocol. Keenum is the QB3 swing if both are down.

Plan the Eagles game without Caleb until he practices. The insider lean is already there.
