Chop Robinson Out at 49ers Week 2

Miami Dolphins defensive end Chop Robinson is out for Sunday's road game at the San Francisco 49ers after suffering a concussion in Wednesday's practice. The final Week 2 injury report stamped Robinson out, and CBS Sports noted the young pass rusher will not play. Inside linebacker Ronnie Harrison (hamstring) is also out after missing practice all week. Long snapper Tucker Addington is the only Dolphins player listed as questionable, with a shoulder injury.
Miami already needed a bounce-back defensive day on the road. Losing Robinson's edge juice and Harrison's interior snaps in the same week is a real tax on that plan. The Dolphins do not get to invent a new sack artist on game day. The next edges have to win with effort and scheme, not with a magic depth-chart upgrade that is not on the sheet.
Levi's board
San Francisco is missing rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling (ankle) after surgery that will keep him out for at least a couple of months. Kicker Eddie Pineiro is questionable with an illness and has not practiced all week. Running back Kaelon Black (groin) is also questionable after limited work Thursday and Friday. Those are the 49ers watch items opposite Miami's outs.
Robinson was one of the brighter early returns on Miami's young defensive front. A midweek concussion changes the Week 2 plan immediately. The Dolphins already sat near the bottom of early-season defensive grades after a rough opener, and losing the edge and an interior linebacker on the same report is the kind of board that shows up on the inactive list before it shows up in the box score.
Fantasy IDP desks that circled Robinson as a streamer after a quiet Week 1 can stamp him out and move on. Harrison's absence matters more for run fits than for sack projection. For season-long, wait on the inactive list before overreacting to Addington's shoulder on special teams.
Sunday at Levi's is already a tough road ask for an 0-1 Dolphins club. Robinson's concussion is the headline out. Harrison's hamstring is the quiet one that still changes run fits. Stamp both, then wait for the inactive sheet before overreacting to Pineiro's illness on the other sideline.
Kickoff is 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday at Levi's Stadium. Robinson's concussion and Harrison's hamstring already locked Miami's defensive call sheet. Pineiro's illness is the last San Francisco watch item before the inactive list.
Road AFC East
Concussion Wednesday. Out Sunday. Levi's at 4:25. That is Miami's Week 2 board into Santa Clara.
