Gane Undisputed Champ, Faces Hokit at UFC 334

Ciryl Gane is the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion and will make his first title defense against undefeated Josh Hokit at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden, the promotion announced on the UFC 331 broadcast. Tom Aspinall vacated the undisputed belt while recovering from eye complications after the UFC 321 poke and a later training reinjury. Gane had already knocked out Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250 to claim the interim strap.
Hokit earned the shot with a TKO of Derrick Lewis the same night and is 4-0 inside the Octagon since Contender Series, with four Performance Bonuses. The co-main pairs women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison against former two-division champion Amanda Nunes. Soft fantasy note does not apply here. Just bank the undisputed stamp and the MSG date.
Aspinall said he does not want to hold the division up. Gane now owns the clear belt and a November stage in New York.
