Adams Powers Rams Past Giants 28-6 on MNF

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams caught eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns Monday night, and Matthew Stafford threw four scoring strikes in a 28-6 blowout of the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium. Adams hauled in a 31-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and an 11-yard fade in the third that also marked Stafford's 426th career touchdown pass, moving him past Philip Rivers into sixth on the NFL's all-time list. Stafford finished 22 of 31 for 327 yards with one interception.

The Rams (1-1) outgained the Giants (1-1) 481 yards to 182 even without injured All-Pros Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett. Kyren Williams added a 10-yard touchdown catch after Adams ripped a 64-yard gain that flipped the field. Terrance Ferguson closed it with a five-yard score with 8:57 left. Sean McVay called Adams special and pointed to the growing trust with Stafford after the Australia Week 1 clunker in Melbourne.

Aaron Donald made his 2026 season debut with three tackles and a classic third-down stop near the goal line before halftime. Los Angeles still overcame two turnovers and a missed Harrison Mevis field goal. Soft fantasy note only: Adams just posted his best catch and yardage totals in a Rams uniform. Do not invent a Week 3 target lock from one Monday night box. Bank the 8-195-2 stamp and the four-touchdown Stafford night.

Los Angeles scored seven points in every quarter. New York managed two field goals from David Zvada after Jaxson Dart exited on the opening drive and Jameis Winston took over. Cam Skattebo finished with 36 rushing yards on 12 carries. The Rams go to Denver on Sunday night. The Giants host the Titans on a short week after the red-eye.

SoFi got the bounce-back. Adams got the stage. Monday Night Football finally put Los Angeles in the win column after the Australia hangover.
