Deonte Banks Calf Status Questionable for MNF

New York Giants cornerback Deonte Banks is questionable with a calf injury for Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams, and ESPN's Jordan Raanan said Monday that it does not look good for him to play after he missed Friday and Saturday practices. Banks was limited Thursday, then sat the final two sessions. John Harbaugh called him day-to-day Friday. The good news for New York is that Banks traveled with the club to Inglewood.

Paulson Adebo is already on injured reserve with a knee injury, so a Banks scratch would thin the secondary further. Greg Newsome II is expected to handle CB1 even with a rib note earlier in the week. Rookie Colton Hood and newly signed Nikko Reed are the next names if Banks sits. Soft fantasy note only: do not invent snap shares from a depth chart. Wait for the inactive list about 90 minutes before kickoff.

Micah McFadden is also questionable with a neck designation. The Giants signed Nikko Reed off the Chargers practice squad this week for corner depth. Kick return help could swing toward Tyrone Tracy Jr. if Banks cannot go, with Braxton Berrios another elevation option.
