DeWanna Bonner has signed with the Atlanta Dream after agreeing to a buyout with the Phoenix Mercury. SB Nation's Noa Dalzell reported the move Friday morning. The 39-year-old, two-time WNBA champion averaged 10.6 points and 6.1 rebounds with Phoenix this season, which is expected to be her last. The Mercury are 13-26 and out of the playoff mix. Mercury general manager Nick U'Ren told reporters the buyout was about respect. "Because of the relationship we have with DeWanna, we worked out a buyout agreement that gives her the opportunity to chase a title in what could be her final postseason," he said, per Eliav Gaby.
