DJ Moore Shoulder Out Mid-TNF

Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore was ruled out of Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions after a left shoulder injury and stinger late in the second quarter at Highmark Stadium. ESPN's Judy Battista reported he landed hard in the end zone diving for a Josh Allen pass, stayed down, then went straight to the locker room. He was first listed questionable, then downgraded to out just after halftime.

Moore did not record a catch before exiting. The incomplete throw came with Rock Ya-Sin landing on him after the dive. Buffalo still rolled to a 41-31 win, with Allen stacking five total touchdowns. Moore's Week 1 stamp still stands: five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown in the trade debut against Houston.

Friday wires: AC sprain, day to day

Friday morning updates from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter eased the scare. Rapoport said sources believe Moore suffered an AC joint sprain. Schefter added that doctors do not consider the injury serious and that Moore is day to day, with a chance to play Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers that is not a lock either.

Fantasy managers who locked Moore as a WR1 can breathe a little, but you still need Wednesday's first Chargers-week injury report. Coach Joe Brady had no firm update immediately after the game. Ten days until Buffalo's next kickoff is the window the room is banking on.

Chargers week without a lock

Buffalo hosts the Chargers in Week 3 after opening the new Highmark era with a statement win. If Moore sits, more early targets slide toward Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and the tight ends. If he is limited Wednesday and questionable Friday, the inactive call may wait until Sunday morning. For now the board is shoulder, AC sprain language, and day to day.

Moore was the offseason answer Buffalo wanted opposite Allen after the trade from Chicago. One big TNF scare does not erase Week 1. It does put every early-down script under a microscope until the first Chargers-week practice report posts. Managers who roster him should keep a flex backup warm through Wednesday.

Hard landing. Ruled out. Friday says day to day, not disaster.
