Grichuk, Teel Homer as White Sox Beat Twins 10-1

Randal Grichuk and Kyle Teel turned the eighth into a parade and the White Sox rolled the Twins 10-1 on Sunday at Rate Field, per the Associated Press via ESPN. Chicago's bullpen threw a four-hitter. The Sox stayed 2 1/2 games up on Cleveland in the AL Central at 75-68.

Grichuk led off the eighth with his 12th homer. Tristan Peters ripped an RBI double. Teel followed with a three-run shot that scored Montgomery and Peters. That five-run frame finished a day Sam Antonacci already owned with three doubles and two RBIs. Minnesota's only answer was Brooks Lee's leadoff homer in the seventh.

Bullpen four-hitter, 15 punchouts

Bryan Hudson opened. Jordan Hicks, Hagen Smith, Grant Taylor, and Tyler Davis followed. The group stacked 15 strikeouts against one walk. Smith (3-1) threw three hitless innings before Taylor allowed Lee's solo shot. Bailey Ober (7-5) lasted 4 1/3 for Minnesota and left after Munetaka Murakami's RBI single gave Chicago a lead it never gave back.

Antonacci's two-run double in the sixth and Grichuk's RBI double stretched it. Miguel Vargas drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. By the time Grichuk and Teel teed off in the eighth, the Central race math was already smiling on the South Side.
