Trevor Lawrence threw a 50-yard strike to Parker Washington late in the second quarter, and the Jacksonville Jaguars never looked back in a rain-soaked 33-10 Thursday Night Football win over the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. Lawrence finished 16 of 26 for 242 yards and a touchdown as the AFC South leaders improved to 6-2.

Baltimore fell to 4-5 and has now lost four straight. With Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley already on injured reserve, rookie free agent Joe Fagnano made his first NFL start and went 10 of 18 for 60 yards with two interceptions.

Tone Set Early in the Rain

Jacksonville took the opening kickoff because of the weather, and Bhayshul Tuten capped a seven-play, 77-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. Lawrence's 52-yard completion to tight end Nate Boerkircher on the second play from scrimmage set up the score. The Jaguars never trailed, the second straight game that has been true.

Cam Little added field goals of 36, 45, 47, and 33 yards. The knockout punch came with 58 seconds left in the half: Lawrence hit Washington for 50 yards and a 17-3 lead. Head coach Liam Coen called that throw huge and said Lawrence was extremely sharp when the game was still a game.

Defense Stacks Another Low Score

Jacksonville forced three turnovers and allowed 10 or fewer points for a second consecutive game. Cornerback Montaric Brown intercepted Fagnano to open the second half, and Jourdan Lewis added another pick in the fourth. Both picks led to Little field goals. Linebacker Jalen McLeod recovered a kickoff fumble that set up Chris Rodriguez Jr.'s 2-yard touchdown run for a 33-3 cushion.

Justice Hill's 65-yard touchdown run late made the final 33-10. Foyesade Oluokun had Jacksonville's lone sack. The Jaguars have allowed 10 or fewer points in four of eight games this season, per the team's game report.

South Lead Getting Serious

Jacksonville now leads the AFC South by three and a half games over Houston (2-5). Lawrence sits at 18 touchdown passes and four interceptions on the year. Coen praised a businesslike process in the rain, and Lawrence said the opening drive set the tone for everything that followed.

Smacktok pick lean: Lean higher on Lawrence's passing yards. He threw for 242 on TNF with the deep ball to Washington as the half-closing dagger, and that vertical shot is still there when Jacksonville wants it.

A wet night in Baltimore, a 6-2 record, and a defense that keeps games ugly. That is a Jaguars team looking like a real AFC problem.
