Ja'Marr Chase Questionable as Bengals Visit Dolphins

Ja'Marr Chase is questionable for Sunday's game at Miami, and everything hinges on one Saturday sign-off. The Bengals star is still in the concussion protocol after leaving the Week 4 loss to Jacksonville, but he practiced in full Friday and needs clearance from an independent neurologist to play, per the team's final injury report and Heavy.

Zac Taylor said Chase would likely play if he gets that clearance Saturday. For a Cincinnati team trying to bounce back from the Jaguars loss, that is the whole ballgame at Hard Rock Stadium.

Chase climbed all week

Chase went from no practice Wednesday to limited Thursday to full Friday. That is exactly the path you want to see from a guy working through the protocol, and it is why he enters the weekend trending the right way. Still, nothing is official until the neurologist says so.

Tee Higgins is the other big name. He is questionable with groin and neck injuries after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday, and he looks more like a game-time call. Wide receiver Colbie Young (knee), safety Bryan Cook (ankle) and linebacker Swayze Bozeman (groin) are also questionable. Safety Kyle Dugger (quadriceps) is the only Bengal ruled out.

If both star receivers play, Joe Burrow has his full arsenal back. If neither does, this offense gets very thin very fast.

Miami has its own decisions

The Dolphins ruled out four players for Sunday, per Yahoo Sports, and rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas looked unlikely to go after missing practice with an ankle injury, per Heavy. Running back Jaylen Wright is questionable with a foot issue.

Miami also has two possible activations to make. Defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, on injured reserve with a toe injury, practiced fully Friday, and cornerback Storm Duck, working back from a knee injury on the PUP list, practiced fully all week. Both are questionable, and Miami has to make any roster moves by 4 p.m. Eastern on Saturday. With the bye coming in Week 6, the Dolphins could also choose to give both two more weeks.

DFS and pick'em angle

On the DraftKings Sunday main slate, Chase is priced at $8,100 and Higgins at $7,100, per Cover the Slate. Fantasy fans, this is a late swap special. Wait for the 1 p.m. ET inactives before you lock anything in.

If Chase gets cleared, the Bengals walk into Miami with their best weapon back and a real chance to flip the script on their season. If he does not, Burrow has to find a way without him in a road game Cincinnati badly needs.
