Jeanty Full Practice for Week 1
By Smacktok

Ashton Jeanty practiced fully Wednesday and is trending toward Week 1 against the Dolphins. The Raiders running back had not practiced since spraining his ankle Aug. 23, and coach Klint Kubiak's return-to-practice note turned into a full session on the official injury report, per NBC Sports and Raiders Wire.
That is the best news Las Vegas has had all week on the offense. Jeanty faces Miami on Sunday as a fantasy RB1 lean even if rookie Mike Washington still steals some snaps behind him.
From camp scare to full participant
The original ankle scare looked serious enough that the building held its breath in late August. Kubiak kept saying he expected Jeanty for Week 1. Wednesday's full go is the proof of concept. Kubiak also said he expects all 53 rostered Raiders ready to play Sunday, which means inactive spots should be coach decisions rather than injury scratches if nothing flips.
The flip side is Brock Bowers. The All-Pro tight end had a meniscus trim and is expected to miss one or two games, a board we covered when Bowers went out after the trim. Jeanty coming back does not replace Bowers' targets. It does stabilize the run game while Las Vegas opens without its best pass catcher.
Sunday vs Miami, then the real test
Miami's defense has been a friendly Week 1 matchup on paper for running backs, and Jeanty's full practice is what fantasy managers needed to hear. Washington still profiles as a change-of-pace piece, not a committee takeover, as long as Jeanty holds up through the week. Watch Thursday and Friday reports for any step-back. Full Wednesday is the green light, not a locked inactive sheet.
For Raiders fans, the September story is health management. Get Jeanty through Miami, keep Bowers on the short-term timeline, and the offense starts looking like the one drafted in August. Rush either piece back and the same soft-tissue problems return.
Jeanty went No. 6 overall in 2025 out of Boise State and immediately became the face of the Las Vegas backfield. A full practice after three quiet weeks is how you want a Week 1 ankle story to end. Keep an eye on Friday's final report, then enjoy the early-down volume against Miami if he stays full. Wednesday's report says Jeanty is ready. Sunday at Allegiant is where it counts.
