Nabers Set for MRI After Popping Shoulder Back
By Smacktok

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is headed for an MRI after he dislocated his shoulder in the first quarter of Monday Night Football, popped it back into place himself, and returned in a 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. Nabers told reporters he pulled it back in, felt strength return, and refused to stay out with Jaxson Dart already down. He finished with one catch for one yard on four targets in his second game back from a 2025 season-ending torn ACL.
The New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy reported early Tuesday that Nabers is set for additional testing on the short week before Sunday's home date with the Tennessee Titans. CBS and AP game notes also flagged Tuesday imaging after he missed time in the first half. Soft fantasy note only: bank the MRI stamp. Do not invent a Week 3 snap lock or a target floor from one catch and a self-reduction on the road.
The Giants' injury board already carried Dart's believed sprained MCL and Brian Burns' low ankle sprain from the same night. Nabers choosing to play through the pop is toughness. It is also a Tuesday scan that fantasy rooms and Giants fans will watch before Titans week. He said he is still knocking dust off the new knee while dealing with the shoulder scare in the same building that took Dart away on the seventh snap.
SoFi already flipped the offense to Jameis Winston. Nabers staying available mattered for depth behind a thin receiver room. Now the MRI decides whether that gamble sticks into Sunday and whether the LEEK chain is warming up or watching from the sideline again.
Popped it. Played on. Tuesday's scan is the next stamp on a brutal Giants injury night.
Shoulder scan board
Dislocated, reduced, returned. MRI next.
Short week vs Titans. Nabers waits on imaging.
