Jokic Posts 201st Triple-Double as Nuggets Roll

Nikola Jokic needed three quarters and that was plenty. The three-time MVP posted his 201st career triple-double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists as the Denver Nuggets rolled past the Toronto Raptors 128-109 on Wednesday night, then sat the entire fourth after Denver blew it open.

Jokic shot 13-for-19 from the field and 6-for-7 from the line in 30 minutes, adding three steals. It was his third triple-double of the season and moved him within eight of Russell Westbrook's all-time record, per Rotoballer and FantasyPros.

A 41-15 Third Ended It

Denver flipped the game with a 41-15 third quarter. Once that surge landed, Jokic's night was done. Sitting a star after a triple-double in a blowout is the kind of managing every West contender wishes it could afford, and the Nuggets had the margin to do it.

Jamal Murray chipped in 14 points and seven assists. With DeMar DeRozan (back) sidelined for Toronto, Bryce Hopkins took the extra minutes and scored a career-high 18 points off the bench. It was not enough to slow Denver once the third-quarter avalanche started.

201 and Counting

Two hundred and one career triple-doubles puts Jokic on a short list that still has Westbrook at the top. Eight away from the record is no longer a distant number. Nights like this, finished in three quarters on efficient shooting, are how that chase stays on schedule.

The Raptors could not match Denver's pace after the break. Jokic ran the offense, cleaned the glass, and still found 11 assists without needing a fourth-quarter possession. That is the version of Jokic that makes every Nuggets game feel solvable.

Nuggets Keep the Floor High

A 19-point home win built on a 201st triple-double is business as usual for Denver when Jokic is this clean. Opponents already know the line is coming. Stopping the 13-for-19 efficiency and the playmaking at the same time is the problem Toronto could not solve.

Smacktok pick lean: Lean higher on Jokic's assist total next time out. He just piled up 11 dimes in three quarters and sat the fourth with the game already decided.

Thirty-two, 10 and 11 in 30 minutes, then a seat for the fourth. That is a triple-double night done the Nuggets' way.
