Ebukam Out; Falcons DE Thin for Lambeau

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Samson Ebukam has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football at the Green Bay Packers with a hamstring injury, per the final Week 3 game status report, after three straight did-not-participate estimates on a short week. Cornerback Billy Bowman (Achilles) is questionable despite full participation all week. Quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa, plus Brandon Dorlus, Brian Robinson, Jawaan Taylor, Nick Muse, and LaCale London, carry no designation and are available.

That Wednesday OUT is the board. Soft fantasy note only: IDP managers should move on from Ebukam for Thursday. The edge snaps shift toward whoever Atlanta trusts next to Za'Darius Smith and the young depth. Do not invent a surprise activation after three DNPs and a final Out stamp.

Falcons fans already watched Ebukam leave the prior game early and miss the short-week work. A hamstring on a Thursday road trip to Lambeau does not heal on hope. Atlanta's pass rush needs the next man up while Penix gets his first start since the ACL tear with Tua cleared as the backup.

Bowman's questionable tag is the secondary subplot. Full practice estimates all week still produced a game-day question, which is better than Out and not the same as a clean clearance. The bigger edge hole is Ebukam.

Green Bay is dealing with its own OUT list on the other sideline. Atlanta's defensive problem is simpler: the hamstring board closed Ebukam for Lambeau, and the Falcons have to generate pressure without him on a short week in Wisconsin.

Lambeau in September already asks enough of a visiting front. Losing Ebukam on a short week removes a veteran edge who was supposed to help set the edge against Green Bay's run and force hurried throws. Atlanta still has bodies. It does not have Ebukam on Thursday, and that changes how many true pass-rush looks the Falcons can stack.

Hamstrings on Thursdays are closed cases. Atlanta stamped Out so the travel party and the play sheet can stop guessing. The next chapter for Ebukam is next week, not Lambeau night.

Falcons fans can still ride Penix's first start since the ACL tear with Tua available behind him. The defensive edge just got thinner on the same short week.
