Jalen Hurts Makes First Eagles Facility Visit Since IR
By Smacktok

Jalen Hurts showed up at the Eagles' practice facility on Wednesday, the first time some of his teammates had seen him since he went on injured reserve with blood clots in his lungs, ESPN's Tim McManus reported. He sat in on the team meeting and other meetings, and while he didn't address the group, a source said his being there gave some players a boost.
The Eagles could use one. They're 2-6, they've lost six straight, and they host the 4-2-1 Giants on Sunday with Joe Milton making his first start for Philadelphia.
Where Things Stand With Hurts
Nothing about the medical picture has changed. Hurts, 28, is still expected to miss the rest of the season. He was first diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London before the Week 5 game against Jacksonville, played in that game, and practiced in full the next Wednesday. A follow-up ultrasound that night showed the clot had moved.
The Eagles put him on IR on Oct. 17. Two days later, a joint statement from the team and his agent, Nicole Lynn, said the diagnosis was a deep vein thrombosis plus bilateral pulmonary emboli, and that he was clinically stable. His treatment includes blood thinners, which rule out any contact activity, football included.
Nick Sirianni didn't directly answer whether Hurts had been in the building but said he's talked with him. "I miss him like crazy," Sirianni said. "But nothing new on that front. I know he's resting and recovering, and we're all still praying for him and hoping for a speedy recovery."
The Quarterback Carousel
Since Hurts went down, it's been rough. Tanner McKee went 0-3 as the starter with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Now it's Milton, who the Eagles signed off the Cowboys' practice squad in mid-October, getting the call against New York.
So seeing Hurts walk into a meeting room matters, even if he can't throw a pass. This is a locker room that's watched its season slide for six straight weeks, and the guy who's been the face of it for years just reminded everybody he's still around.
Sunday vs. the Giants
The Giants come into Lincoln Financial Field leading the NFC East. Kickoff is 10 a.m. PT. A loss would drop Philadelphia to 2-7 with more than half the season gone.
Smacktok pick lean: Lean higher on Joe Milton's rushing yards. He ran five times for 50 yards in his 2025 action with Dallas, and the Eagles' offense needs anything it can get.
Hurts can't fix this one from the meeting room. But if the Eagles finally snap the streak Sunday, don't be surprised if somebody gives him some credit.
