The Ravens made it official on Thursday afternoon. Baltimore placed quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve, clearing the last bit of roster fog before Joe Fagnano's first career start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football.

Both will miss a minimum of four games. Jackson suffered a right thumb injury and Huntley a toe injury in the first half of Sunday's game in Buffalo, the Ravens announced. Huntley's injury is reportedly a season-ending turf toe, and Jackson could also miss the rest of the season. He had not yet had surgery as of Tuesday, head coach Jesse Minter said.

Reed Signed, Moody and Isaac Elevated

Baltimore signed quarterback Austin Reed to the 53-man roster, where he joins undrafted rookie Fagnano and Kedon Slovis. The Ravens' three quarterbacks have combined for a total of 89 passing yards and zero touchdowns over their NFL careers, per the team.

Fagnano starts tonight at M&T Bank Stadium (8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT on Prime). Minter has not named the No. 2. Reed spent the preseason in Baltimore and has more familiarity with the offense. Slovis was signed off the Green Bay Packers practice squad this week. The club also used standard practice squad elevations to bring up kicker Jake Moody and outside linebacker Adisa Isaac. Moody replaces Tyler Loop, who went on IR with a right groin injury.

Brissett Trade Still Finalizing

Baltimore is reportedly finalizing a trade for veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, but he would not debut until Monday, Nov. 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers. That leaves tonight's game, and the stretch after it, on Fagnano, Reed, and Slovis until the veteran arrives.

Jackson's thumb cost him on the first snap in Buffalo. Huntley's turf toe ends a backup stretch that was already thin. Putting both on IR the same afternoon is the roster move that matches the medical reality the team has been living with all week.

Fagnano Gets the Night

The Jaguars are 5-2. The Ravens are 4-4. Fagnano is an undrafted rookie making his first NFL start with a thin room behind him and a defense that still has to carry the night. Moody gets his first game of the season on special teams. Isaac has played the past two games exclusively on special teams.

Smacktok pick lean: Lean higher on Fagnano rush attempts vs the Jaguars. He is an undrafted first-time starter with limited NFL pass yards behind him, and the Ravens' quarterback room tonight has 89 career passing yards combined.

Two quarterbacks to IR, one UDFA under center, and a Thursday night that just got thinner. That is the Ravens' reality heading into kickoff.
