Director of Marketing

Overview:
We are looking for a results-driven Marketing Director with a passion for sports and expertise in B2C digital marketing and social media strategies. We are a growing social sports community with real money games and contests. We need a leader to execute a hyper customer acquisition growth strategy and brand awareness campaigns. You’ll be responsible for connecting with fans where they live—on social media, podcasts, traditional media, and even during game time—to build brand awareness, drive app downloads, increase customer deposits, and boost user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in development and execution of a B2C traditional and digital marketing strategy for our mobile app to grow our sports app user base.
Plan and execute cross-platform marketing campaigns from ideas to execution across social media, email, push notifications, paid ads, influencer partnerships, podcasts, event marketing, etc.
Participate with team creative engaging brand messaging and content for sports fans, leveraging real-time sports events, pop culture moments, and community trends.
Lead exponential growth and presence on social platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Discord).
Create and manage social calendars and real-time content strategies during sports seasons (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.).
Analyze customer behavior and campaign performance (CAC, LTV, ROAS, retention) to improve targeting and messaging.
Help to develop and lead, and scale a team of marketers, vendors, content creators, team members.
Partner with the company’s product teams to create compelling in-app promotions and feature launches.
Build and manage relationships with creators, sports influencers, and fan communities.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in digital and traditional consumer marketing, with at least 3 years’ experience leading a B2C social media strategy to drive growth in a mobile app.
Proven track record of scaling app users and driving customer acquisitions in a consumer-facing digital mobile app. Using analytical tools for social media metrics.
Deep knowledge of fantasy sports games, sports fandom, and content trends.
Strong understanding of paid and organic growth strategies on platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Ads.
Ability to balance creative storytelling with performance marketing and data analysis.
Experience in influencer and community marketing.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; startup or high-growth experience a plus.

Existing experience with sports fantasy apps (FanDuel, DraftKings, Underdog, PrizePicks, etc.)
A strong personal interest in fantasy leagues, sports betting, or fan communities
